What is Permanent Jewellery?
Permanent jewellery is a unique process where we custom-fit a forever bracelet to your wrist, clasp-free. Our STL staff will make sure it's the perfect size, then 'zap' it into place permanently! ⚡️
How does it work?
It’s super simple! Our in-house trained permanent jewellery experts will custom fit a forever bracelet to your wrist to ensure the perfect size - then, using our unique process the piece is ‘zapped’ into place permanently!
Does Permanent Jewellery hurt?
Not at all! The Lovers trained permanent jewellery experts will custom-fit to your wrist to ensure the perfect fit, a lil flash of light and…ta-da! Ultra quick, extremely safe and completely painless so you won’t feel a thing. 😉 (but, if you're daring you can think of it as jewellery tattoo!)
What if I need to remove it?
If you need to remove your permanent jewellery, simply cut at the 'zap' ring. You can always re-attach with us later or add a clasp if you need.
Can I go through airport security?
Of course! Travelling through airport security with your permanent jewellery is perfect fine! The Lovers team has tested multiple permanent pieces through both domestic and international airports and it’s never been an issue.
Who is Permanent Jewellery for?
Permanent Jewellery is for everyone! It's the perfect gift experience for celebrating BFFs, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, mother-daughter gifts, hens parties, weddings, new mums, and setting intentions!
How much does it cost?
The Lovers permanent bracelets start at just $89 - with 30+ charms to choose from - the final cost of permanent jewellery depends on the chain you choose!
Do you offer charms?
Yes! The Lovers have over 30+ charms to choose from including birthstones, gemstones, alphabet letters and more! All stock is limited and may sell out fast! Be sure to follow us on socials (@shopthelovers_) to stay up to date with the latest releases.
What are The Lovers sustainable practices?
Our permanent jewellery pieces are all handmade in our Perth studio and made of recycled metals. ♻️ An extension of our mission is to eliminate single use and throw away jewellery, creating pieces that will be cherished, worn daily or passed on to loved ones in years to come.
How long does it last?
How long you wear your permanent jewellery is completely up to you! The lifespan of your permanent jewellery is highly dependent on your lifestyle, after care and other external factors. We choose the highest quality 14k pieces that can be worn every day, in the shower, sunshine, and beyond so that tarnish will be minimal if existent. With proper love and care they can last many years to come!

How do I book an appointment?
To book a permanent jewellery appointment with The Lovers, head to shopthelovers.com and select your ideal date and time! If the date you’re looking for is not available, we are either unavailable or fully booked.
What happens at my appointment?
On the day of your appointment our trained permanent jewellery experts will walk you (and your +1) through the process helping you choose your perfect chain, fit and zapping your piece to perfection. ✨ ☕️ Be sure to arrive early to allow for extra time to shop, select your chain and check out our on-site coffee shop!
How many people can attend a Permanent Jewellery appointment?
Our permanent jewellery bookings are for 1-2 people or two permanent jewellery pieces in a 30-minute sitting. If you're looking to book for 3 people or more, please book two back-to-back appointments.
How do I purchase a gift card?
We like the way you gift! 🎁 On our website you can checkout an e-gift card that will be emailed straight to you or that special someone. Our gift cards can be used at all in-person appointments and never expire!
Can I purchase a physical gift card?
Definitely! To organise a time to pick-up a physical gift card in Perth, please email our team at hello@shopthelovers.com
Can I pay with a gift card?
You'll be able to use your gift card in-person at your appointment so be sure to bring it with you! Just show your gift card email including the multi-digit code beneath the barcode - easy as that. A credit card is required to lock in your appointment but this amount will be refunded to you, deducted from your total.
Do I need to decide what to get before I arrive?
Definitely not! Our expert staff will help walk you through the permanent jewellery process during your appointment and help you hand-select a chain and jewellery type that’s perfect for you and your lifestyle.
Where are you located?
The Lovers Permanent Jewellery is located in the heart of Perth! Our new location is inside the Plant Playground at 1/11 Guthrie St Osborne Park, WA. We're amidst an urban oasis with an on-site coffee shop. Arrive early and explore! 💗
Can I reschedule my appointment?
At the bottom of your confirmation email you'll find a reschedule button. Please tap and choose a date from those available. If no dates are available we are fully booked until our next release and you may need to cancel your booking. If so, please get in touch with our team at hello@shopthelovers.com. ou are able to reschedule 48h+ or more in advance.
Can I book a private Permanent Jewellery party?
Umm, 1000% YES! ❤️ The Lovers offer private permanent jewellery parties at our shop for parties of 6 or more! We’ll open our studio doors to you for a private party where you can bring drinks, snacks, pop on your own playlist from our speaker system and more*. After hours and on-site baristas available too! 🎉 Please email our team at hello@shopthelovers.com with ‘Private Party’ in the email subject line and include your date request, approximate time and number of attendees.
What is the minimum age required to get Permanent Jewellery?
The age minimum for permanent bracelets is 8 years old. For anyone younger, we offer custom-fit clasped options - sealed with a zap! We recommend following us on socials @shopthelovers_ to find out our latest updates!
SHIPPING
Do you offer in-store pickup?
Yes! All physical items are eligible for in-store pickup in our Perth studio shop. We’re located inside The Plant Playground at 1/11 Guthrie St in Osborne Park, WA. Once an online order has been placed, you will be notified via email when your order is ready for pick-up! Collection is available typically between 2-4 business days during Plant Playground trading hours only.
When will my order ship?
Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping or in-store pickup. Many pieces are made-to-order in our studio by our small team so we thank you so very much for your support and patience!
Do The Lovers offer express shipping?
We do not currently offer express shipping at the moment. If you’re looking for fast-pick up and located in Perth we recommend selecting in-store pickup! We also offer e-gift cards that can be used at any permanent jewellery or in-person appointment and are sent instantly!
Do you ship on public holidays?
We do not currently ship orders on public holidays.

What is the return policy?

What is Permanent Jewellery?
All custom jewellery styles, workshop made items, permanent jewellery and discounted styles are final sale.
Does my jewellery have a warranty?
We pride ourselves on our high quality, 14k solid gold, 14k gold fill and sterling silver permanent jewellery styles that last. This means that 90-days from the date of purchase, we’ll take care of your product if any damage to the material or craftsmanship of the jewellery occurs. This also means that the warranty does not cover lost items, scratches that come with normal wear and tear (like a bent ring or broken chain), improper use or storage of your product (application of chemicals, dyes, self-tanners, etc.), and any modification to your product done by a third party outside of The Lovers. What do I do if I need to remove my Permanent Jewellery?
If the chain length is bothering you or is uncomfortable in anyway, please safely cut the chain at the connector ring (small, round ring) with a pair of pliers or sharp scissors. We recommend asking for help! If you have a charm, this will be the small ring your charm is connected to.
How do I book a repair appointment?
All permanent jewellery originally zapped by The Lovers is eligible for one free repair within The Lovers warranty period. In order to be eligible you must have your original piece with you along with your itemized receipt.Book your repair appointment here: https://shorturl.at/aDPV6 🔗
If you’re looking to get a new permanent jewellery piece at the same time as your repair- your repair is free even outside of the warranty period! If you’re looking for a new bracelet and a repair please book a regular permanent jewellery appointment via our booking page at shopthelovers.com.
Can I bring a piece needing repair in to a new appointment?
If you’re looking for a new bracelet or anklet and a repair, please book a standard permanent jewellery appointment via our booking page at shopthelovers.com. For this, your repair will be free even outside of the warranty period! We unfortunately do not offer repairs during standard permanent jewellery appointments, showing up will result in the repair fee and collection of your initial deposit.
There are no repair appointments available, what do I do?
The Lovers release new repair bookings each month. Repairs must be booked via the special link. If no appointments appear we are fully booked or not available this day, please check back when new appointments are released. Repair appointments are strictly available on weekdays only at this time.
Do you offer Permanent Jewellery repairs from pieces bought overseas?
We may be able to help! We offer permanent jewellery repairs if you have purchased your piece from an external vendor overseas. Before booking, please email our team at hello@shopthelovers.com and we will do our best to help!
AFTER CARE
How do I take care of my Permanent Jewellery?
Our permanent jewellery is meant to be worn everyday and become the most meaningful and care-free jewellery you’ve ever owned! Treat each piece with love and polish regularly to keep your piece looking its absolute best.
What size do you recommend fitting my permanent jewellery?
Daintier chains are delicate and recommended to be worn snug for maximum longevity of the piece. We recommend sizing chains more fitted for maximum longevity and optimal comfort to the wearer.
How do I take care of my gold jewellery?
While gold filled jewellery is more durable than gold plated, you'll still want to take care of your piece to ensure it lasts! Minimise wearing your gold filled jewellery in the ocean or swimming pools as extended exposure can cause damage or for your piece to lose its sheen over time.
To extend the life of your gold filled jewellery, avoid wearing when applying lotion, self-tanners, using harsh cleaning supplies or working out. To DIY clean, use a drop of mild dish-washing soap on an old toothbrush. Lay on a towel to dry. When storing, place in an area that will not rub against other jewellery.
How do I take care of my sterling silver jewellery?
While silver jewellery is harder and a durable jewellery choice, over time it will naturally begin to tarnish. Minimise wearing your silver jewellery in ocean or swimming pools as extended exposure can cause damage to your piece or amplify tarnishing over time.
To extend the life of your silver jewellery, avoid wearing when applying lotion, self-tanners, using harsh cleaning supplies or working out. To DIY clean, use a drop of mild dish-washing soap on an old toothbrush. If you are able to remove your piece, wash in hot, soapy water and rinse. Lay on a towel to dry. When storing, place in an area that will not rub against other jewellery.
