While gold filled jewellery is more durable than gold plated, you'll still want to take care of your piece to ensure it lasts! Avoid wearing your gold filled jewellery in ocean or swimming pools as extended exposure can cause damage or for your piece to loose its sheen over time.

To extend the life of your gold filled jewelry, avoid wearing when applying lotion, self-tanners, using harsh cleaning supplies or working out. To DIY clean, use a drop of mild dish-washing soap on an old toothbrush. Lay on a towel to dry. When storing, place in an area that will not rub against other jewellery. "
